Welcome To Spring Fever

Spring Fever is held yearly at the North Raleigh Hilton in Raleigh, NC.  Spring Fever is oriented towards miniatures gaming of all genres. Generally, you will find 50 to 75 games presented by TSS, the South Carolina Historical Games Society, attending dealers, the Old Dominion Military Society,  the Cape Fear Valley Historical Gamers, members of the Jacksonville Garrison   and other groups.   Spring Fever includes a raffle each year, with some truly wonderful prizes.  Raffle tickets are $1 each and go to help defray the cost of the venue.

General Gaming Information:

TSS starts Spring Fever on a Friday, gaming usually starting at noon, but earlier times are available. The event runs until Midnight on Friday with two general game timespans, afternoon and evening. We then open the doors again at 9AM on the Saturday morning. Games on saturday  fall into any one of three generalized time-slots, Morning, Afternoon and Evening. The Sunday games are usually all grouped together into one category, running anywhere from 9AM through to the end of the event at 5PM. We mark the game information on a huge cork bulletin board in the corner with the  table assignments and game information clearly marked. Make sure and tap the  game scheduler on the shoulder to ask any questions or notify him of movements or cancellations. We can usually attend to all of your needs with room to spare. Every year it amazes us how many different types of genres and scales  are run. We have a very good spread of representative GMs, both local and from other areas, including out of state, that regularly attend the event. You are  guaranteed to find something you will enjoy!

Warhammer Fantasy Tournament:

For the third straight year the Oak City Brawlers will be running their Warhammer Fantasy Tournament.  Information can be found by selecting the links to the Warhammer tournament information above.  BREAKING NEWS! This year the tournament will be expanded to 50! players!!!!

Vendors Galore:

Our dealer participation is excellent! This is because the event is very dealer friendly. We pride ourselves in keeping the dealers right in the periphery of the gaming area, as close to the action as possible, thus bringing buyers to their tablesides while giving  them the elbow room they need to operate.

Location, Location, Location:

The TSS convention is run at the North Raleigh Hilton. This facility is located about 2 blocks off the Raleigh Beltline, AKA I 440 (part of the I 40  network), on Wake Forest Road. The hotel is located within a half-block of a Bahama Breeze, and within a block and a half of a Denny's.   The hotel has two dining areas, one for breakfast and the other a full-service sports bar and restaurant.  The latter is open until 2 AM for your quaffing pleasure ! We hope you enjoy your stay in Raleigh while attending the event. Please ask us any questions you may have about transportation, lodging, or local site-seeing locales via our Yahoo Mailing List, or via direct e-mail to the webmaster.

Spring Fever and its Sister gaming gatherings support charitable giving. We provide donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation from Fever's proceeds, and to other local charities.   Spring Fever contributes, and all the proceeds from Tank Shock's raffle go to support the American Armored Foundation's museum in Danville, Virginia.

When you attend Spring Fever, Southern Front, and Tank Shock, please join us in supporting these worthwhile causes.

Hotel Information for Spring Fever:
